These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

From Burundi to the Nations:

Over the past year, we&rsquo;ve been partnering with Philbert Jomba, a missionary for years, now a full-time mission mobilizer in Burundi. He&rsquo;s been using our <a href="https://store.vianations.org/products/parenting-with-a-global-vision?_pos=1&amp;_sid=c9769fd45&amp;_ss=r&amp;variant=41042440356017" rel="follow">Parenting with a Global Vision (PGV)</a> study to equip families to disciple their children with a heart for God&rsquo;s global mission&mdash;the response has been unlike anything we&rsquo;ve seen before.
Philbert told us, &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve been mobilizing for over ten years, and we&rsquo;ve never seen anything like this. It can only be described as a move of the Holy Spirit.&rdquo;
Just recently, 3,500 parents across 50 churches representing every province in Burundi have gone through the PGV training. These aren&rsquo;t just numbers; these are moms and dads, pastors and children, learning together what it means to live for something bigger than themselves. Families are starting to pray together for unreached people groups. They&rsquo;re having intentional conversations about God&rsquo;s heart for the nations. They&rsquo;re seeing their role, not someday, but now.
Each of the 50 churches involved has added 15 minutes to their Sunday service to pray specifically for the nations. One pastor told us his church now spends time each week presenting an unreached people group, learning about them, and praying for them as a congregation. One church even had its entire congregation spontaneously come forward to pray after hearing about the unreached for the first time.&nbsp;

How have Burundian leaders responded?

<li>&ldquo;I used to dream of leaving my kids' houses and money. Now I want to leave them a legacy rooted in God&rsquo;s mission.&rdquo; &ndash; Pastor Juvenal</li>
<li>&ldquo;After the PGV couple&rsquo;s training, my husband and I realized we hadn&rsquo;t been discipling our children. We&rsquo;ve now adopted the Digo people of Tanzania and are praying for them as a family.&rdquo; &ndash; Pastor Japhet</li>
<li>&ldquo;Missions used to mean &lsquo;white people from rich countries.&rsquo; But God opened my eyes&mdash;I can Send, Pray, Mobilize, or Welcome.&rdquo; &ndash; Janet, a pastor&rsquo;s wife</li>

 And from Pastor Sixon in Rutana:
<ul>
<li>&ldquo;We now have ten PGV groups running across our churches. Every Sunday, we pray for the nations. El-Shammah is missions-minded now.&rdquo;</li>
</ul>

In a place where electricity reaches only 10% of the population, and most families live off the land, the people of Burundi are not waiting until they have more. They&rsquo;re saying yes with what they already have, and it&rsquo;s beautiful. We&rsquo;ve recently finished translating PGV into Kirundi, the heart language of the people of Burundi, which will further extend the reach of this incredible movement.&nbsp; This spring, Via is also helping host 5 to 10 pastors&rsquo; conferences across Burundi. Each will bring together 80 to 100 pastors from different denominations to experience PGV firsthand and share it with their churches.&nbsp; Would you pray for these gatherings? Pray that children would catch a vision early for God&rsquo;s global mission and respond with joy and obedience. For the upcoming pastors&rsquo; conferences &mdash; Lift up the five to ten planned gatherings happening this spring. Pray for unity among leaders from different denominations, for clear teaching, and lasting fruit as pastors return to mobilize their churches with the PGV vision.</li>
